Natural Family Planning Coordinator
Favorite Saint: St. Faustina
Favorite Bible Verse: Then the LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner." The man said, "This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; this one shall be called Woman, for out of Man this one was taken." Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh. - Genesis 2: 18, 23 - 24
With a background in the sciences—B.S.Biology (UW-Platteville) and M.S. Microbiology (U of I—Iowa City), Vicki’s love for all living creatures has led her through a circuitous route to what she now loves most—natural family planning. After completing her graduate studies Vicki and her new husband, Rich, at the time ventured to British Columbia, Canada for two years of missionary work with the Frontier Apostolate where they met a couple who introduced them to NFP. Vicki is now certified to teach with SERENA CANADA, Couple to Couple League (both sympto-thermal methods), as well as with Billings Ovulation and Family of the Americas (both mucus only methods). Her work has taken her from college/high school teaching to organic dairy farming, to teacher trainer and consultant for the Couple to Couple League (12 yrs), and finally now as NFP Coordinator for the Madison Diocese. On the side she consults privately with women who have health/fertility concerns, and/or who need assistance practicing NFP. See Wise Fertility Choices . Vicki and Rich have 3 wonderful children—two married and 3 grandchildren so far.
