Letter to Parents

The Diocese of Madison takes very seriously its commitment to protecting children by every means available.  As part of this commitment, every parish and school catechetical program in the Diocese is required to present each year the age-appropriate lessons of the "Circle of Grace" program. 

However, we also understand and support the role of parents as the primary educators of their children, and recognize that some parents may choose to present this instruction themselves to their own children.  To this end, transparency and good communication with parents is essential in everything related to this program.

At least two weeks before these "Circle of Grace" lessons are presented to the children, those in our parishes and schools who administer the program should send to the parents or guardians of each child the following letter, common questions document, and opt out form:
