Through Cenacles parish leaders will make significant strides toward sanctity, confidence and passion in their vocation, physical and mental wellness, relational maturity and depth, and professional effectiveness.
Cenacles are designed to meet the need for mentorship (peer-based) in helping parish leaders grow as disciples of Jesus in all areas of life. This happens through weekly meetings that include sharing in discussion, concrete goals for growth in ministry and personal life, as well as sharing of prayer intentions.
The group meets virtually once a week
Meetings last 60 minutes; it takes dedication and leadership to keep meetings to this length, but it is critically important to honor everyone's schedules by doing so.
Each week's meeting is facilitated by a different group member. Starting with the group's leader and then ideally with a veteran or two going next and the newest members going last as the culture forms.
The facilitator sends out the zoom link and a reminder email for the week a few days prior to the meeting time.
Members of the group say an opening prayer together, do a weekly check-in, discuss the shared topic/reading, and set personal goals for the next week.
Cenacles first session will be reading and reflecting on Searching for and Maintaining Peace by Fr. Jacques Phillippe
