The goal of the Catholic School Collection is to make our Catholic schools available, accessible, and affordable for all. Catholic schools play a critical role in passing on the faith and forming future generations that will keep our parishes vibrant communities of faith, worship and service. We are at a unique time in our history where we are seeing a reemergence in Catholic education and for the first time in two decades, during the 2021-2022 school year, Catholic school enrollment across the nation increased by 3.8%. As the U.S. Bishops have said, “It is the responsibility of the entire Catholic community to strive towards the goal of making our Catholic elementary and secondary schools available, accessible, and affordable for all.”
As demand grows for an education that maintains high academic standards and emphasizes the values of service to our neighbor and respect of self and others, we need your support for this collection in order to provide assistance to all Catholic Schools in our Diocese of Madison, especially in areas like tuition assistance and improving access to education for students with learning differences to make these schools competitive with public schools. Investment in our Catholic schools enables the youth in our parishes to take advantage of all that Catholic education has to offer, and helps to shape the future of our parishes, our diocese, the universal Church, and the world around us.
