1. Decide the type of certification you are seeking:
- Core Basic Certification and Intermediate/Advanced Certification (for interested adults, parish catechetical staff, school faculty, and parish catechists)
- Parish Catechist Certification (for parish catechists)
- Seeking no certification but want to take courses randomly and at will

Once you have decided your certification level, you will create a login in the Diocesan Data Hub: Click
to access the Data Hub, and follow the instructions to create a login.
When you have created a login, you can begin registering fro classes by clicking the large green "Register" button located on your personal page. A list of classes will appear, and you simply press the green check mark next to the class.
When you create a login and a personal information page, all of the courses that you register for will begin traking on that online page. You can and should keep a paper tracking of all the courses you attend. Tracking sheets can be found by clicking
. The OEC also provides binders and folders to manage paperwork as an individual moves through the certification. Please ask for thse materials when you attend a SOWDI course.
Upon the completion of a cousre, the instructor/facilitator will issue a "Course Credit Form" verifying the completion of that course. Self study courses require a study guide to accompany the video, lecture, or reading. In order to receive the course credit form, you will need to complete the study guide. All course credit forms should be stored with your tracking sheets to submit for certification.
When you have completed the requirements for the certification you are seeking, you will submit a copy of your tracking forms and copies of all your course credit forms to the OEC for review. When the office reviews your files, your online account will be credited and updated. A paper certificate signed by the Bishop or the Director of the OEC will be mailed to you.
