Diocesan Wide Congress

The Congress was the culminating event of the Catholic Schools Planning Process.  Participants discussed solutions to the challenges our schools face and voted to prioritize these challenges that we now face.

Areas of Catholic Schools Planning: Catholic Leadership:  Considers the Catholic culture of the school.  Is the school fulfilling its mission as a Catholic school? How can we ensure strong, dynamic Catholic leadership in our schools for the future? List of challenges for Catholic Leadership Academic Curriculum:  Addresses issues related to the rigor and relevance of the curriculum, best teaching practices and curricular standards.  How can our ongoing assessment and planning insure that our Catholic schools remain great academically?                                                   List of challenges for Academic Curriculum Enrollment Management:  Considers how well Catholic school education is presented and positioned in the market place.  How can we manage enrollment from both a recruitment and retention perspective?  How do we involve more people in the enrollment process?  How will the school continue to attract the right quantity, quality and diversity of students in our school?    List of challenges for Enrollment Management Fiscal Stewardship: Analyzes the costs of operating a school and the current funding structure.  Considers questions regarding tuition, fundraising, parish support, support from other parishes in the cluster, endowments, etc. List of challenges for Fiscal Stewardship
