Fair Trade Chocolate, Coffee and Craft Items
The sale of fair trade items promotes justice by providing farmers with a fair return for their labor and maintains human dignity.
This is primarily a parish-based program that educates Catholics in the United States about the benefits of fair trade and creates opportunities to promote international economic justice through principaled decisions about how we shop. Through the purchase of fairly traded coffee, tea, cocoa, chocolate, handcrafts, and more, you can advance a new, more just model of international trade based on right relationships.
Chocolate
The Donkey Project is largely funded by the sale of Fair Trade Chocolate produced by the only farmer-owned Chocolate Cooperative in the world in Ghana.
Divine Chocolate can be purchased through Serrv International.
Coffee
Your parish and school can create a more just world by using Fair Trade Coffee.
Craft Items
Catholic Relief Services has information on how to order beautiful handmade craft items online or through a catalog.
