Coordinator of Religious Education:
Blessed Sacrament parish in Madison is seeking a Coordinator of Religious Education. The coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination and supervision of the religious education of all students within the parish, grades 1-8, who do not attend Catholic school. In addition, the coordinator is responsible for the sacramental preparation of students in anticipation of first reconciliation and first communion for the entire parish (working in conjunction with the grade school catechists). The coordinator will need to be able to recruit and train volunteers, teach classes when necessary, manage the organizational aspects of the program (scheduling rooms, preparing budget, communicating with parents, upkeep of materials, attending staff and education commission meetings, maintaining records, etc.). In addition, the coordinator will need to make sure all regulations and in-services related to the protection of children (Virtus/Safe Touch) are followed. The job will be a half-time, 10 month job running from mid-August until mid-June. The coordinator should be a practicing Roman Catholic. Experience in organizing, training and supporting volunteers is essential. The coordinator should have minimally the advanced religious education certification from the Diocese or its equivalent. Youth Minister - Part Time

The parish is seeking a Youth Minister who will develop programs in collaboration with the Director of Religious Education and will guide our youth as they develop their faith.

Director of Faith Formation, P/K-Grade 6
Holy Mother of Consolation Parish in Oregon, Wisconsin, a parish of of 1,300 families, is looking for a Director of Faith Formation for an established P/K-Grade 6 program of 450 children and their families.
Responsibilities include sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, plus Children's Initiation as needed.
Prefer candidate with a degree in Religious Studies or a related field, and experience working with children in classroom, worship and social settings.
This is a 12-month position beginning July 1, 2010. Salary and benefits proportionate to qualifications.

The Diocese of Madison (Wisconsin) has a number of openings for parish directors/coordinators of religious education and youth ministry. Many of these are full time positions.
While the specific job description will vary, all of these positions involve the creation and implementation of programming and events which provide opportunities for parishioners to know, love and serve Jesus Christ through active participation in the life of the Catholic Church.

Applicants must profess and follow the teachings of the Catholic Church, seek an ever-deeper transformation to Christ in their own life, and possess appropriate professional training or related experience in the areas of Catholic theology and ministry.
